John Van Gorkom, Managing Director, has over 15-years of Baldrige-based experience. John consults with a variety of healthcare organizations, financial institutions, not-for-profit organizations, and governmental entities.
In addition to our consulting services, John Van Gorkom, assesses the performance of domestic and international business organizations as a volunteer for the Malcolm Baldrige Performance Excellence Award, American Health Care Association (AHCA/NCAL), Asia Pacific Quality Organization, and regional/state quality award programs.
John is a current Alumni Member of the Board of Examiners of the Malcolm Baldrige Performance Excellence Award. John has served the program for 15 years as an examiner, senior examiner, team leader, site visit examiner, technical editor, and is currently serving as an Alumni Member. He has conducted many site visits to extremely excellent, high performing organizations. John also helped develop and co-author three of the Baldrige Case Studies utilized to train thousands of examiners for the Baldrige program, international, national, and state/regional quality award programs.
John also serves as a Master Examiner for the American Health Care Association (AHCA/NCAL) quality award program.
John has been very active in the Washington State Quality Award/Performance Excellence Northwest program for the past 16 years. He has served as an examiner, team leader, trainer, workshop leader, past Chair of Panel of Judges, and past President of the Board of Directors of the organization.
John served two years as a Member of the Board of Examiners for Asia Pacific Quality Award Organization (APQO). Applicants for this coveted award are highly successful organizations that have received their respective country’s top quality award.
